Arguably the closest I've seen to a Jenner-to-TML proposal that might actually work for the Jackets. That said, Liljegren is not the kind of blueliner we need (we need defensively-oriented guys) and Robertson (what with his injuries and being a depth scoring winger) basically has no value here. And we need more glue guys, not less, so giving up two to get one - even though he's an extremely skilled one - could be an issue. Still, it's a fair try.

Tavares also doesn't waive his NTC.

Basically seconding @Viqsi, on value it's probably close but it's also not really the direction we need to go. Lilly is redundant with Boqvist, who's already the odd-man out. Robertson is redundant with Dumais and Brindley, but with arguably a lower ceiling and an injury history; both would already be hard-pressed to make the NHL roster. Tavares is great, especially if Boone is going the other way...but why not just keep Boone at that point?

Fair effort, creative, but still a lot of obstacles. Columbus politely declines (and Tavares would probably be less polite).
