Sammy is not a 5m dollar goaltender or even relatively close to that. 3+ GAA and a .890 S% does not get a goaltender a raise they get a decrease.

Neither Kaliyev nor Turcotte deserve that much money. Spence deserves significantly more.

After Rittich's performance this season, there's no way he'd agree to that contract. If he did accept it for some reason, there's absolutely no way he doesn't get claimed off waivers.

I'd rather run with Rittich/Portillo than Samsonov/Nedeljkovic.

Not to fault Sammy but there were more goals scored this season than any other season in NHL history so goalies were getting lit up this year. Even with goals getting scored left and right Sammy wasn't even an average goaltender he was below average and that doesn't get you paid. Cam Talbot is a top 10 goaltender this year, is he really a top 10 goalie? Absolutely not lol and he will get paid as such next season just like how Sammy isn't even a top 20 goaltender. He'd be lucky to get a 3m contract from anyone.

Not sure why not. Talbot/Rittich have outperformed Samsonov/Woll this season. A lot of Kings fans are advocating for starting Rittich over Talbot against the Oilers.

Moore -- Danault -- Arvidsson/Fiala has been our best and most consistent line since January 1, 2023 -- that's right, 2023, not 2024. Kings won't be breaking that combination up after a season and a half of excellence.

I'd rather have Talbot for $2.5 million with performance bonuses and Rittich for $1.25 million than Samsonov for $5 million and Nedeljkovic for $2 million. I don't think that anyone will give Samsonov much over $3 million (if any), and I'd much rather re-sign Viktor Arvidsson with the money saved.

No need to sign or play 33-year-old Tyler Pitlick with Alex Laferriere still on his near-League-minimum contract.

I think you are more likely to resign Copley than get Rittich at that salary. My perspective is the Kings goalies will likely be at a higher salary than some fans expect based on this quote.

Side note: Nedelljkovic is more likely to make $5m and be this years Korpisalo.
