Only problem is does Marner and Tavares waive? It’s definitely an interesting situation the leafs are in going into this offseason

laugh Tavares, Marner and Ekblad aren't waiving. Ekblad grew up a Wings fan not a Leafs fan. He'll want to be much closer to his new home in Windsor.

No and neither does Ekblad since he grew up as a child hating the Leafs.

Aaron Ekblad is one of my favorite none Wing RHD, So yeah I study up on him. And know that Ekblad grew up a Wings fan and his idol was Nick Lidstrom. Nothing weird about it whatsoever.

This is BS. Players will play anywhere they see a fit, who they liked as a child or “hated” doesn’t come into play this much. Stop trying to hype up Ekblad to Detroit just because you’re a Wings fan and want him there.

For the record, Charlie McAvoy hated the Bruins when he was 15 and still got drafted to Boston and remains committed to them. Brad Marchand also grew up a Leafs fan, now he’s their enemy (in fairness he’s everyone’s enemy) and he remains loyal to Boston.

Stop making $hit up like you know stuff kid. You don’t.
