Honestly probably pretty accurate for next year. I would target amadio martinook or carrier over fischer. I also think Demelo resigns to play with Morissey, I would be all over Chatfield around 3-3.5 mill mark. Really good analytics and then pair him with sandy and zub back with chabby.

Chatfield is a very good 3rd pair guy. Not sure I want him on pair 2.

Martinook id sign if we have the money

Trades seem reasonable but not locking up Pinto longterm would be a tough pill to swallow and I will have no faith in this team if Korpi is the starter again.

Not really imo. Signing Pinto to a 5-6 year deal would be the worst case . 2 years of meh Sens team and then only locked up for 3 years of competitive team after that . Not good. I’d rather 1-2 year deal that takes him to age 25 and then lock him up on an 8 year deal till age 33

Chatfield has been good a top-4 defenseman as a pinch... not sure how'd he do with that as a full time role

Capitals are retooling. No need to dump a great pick for 1 year player

Dowd and TVR are good players, don't like adding them to a move for Chychrun

Staios would be fired on the spot if he proposed this to adlauer, trading a 25 yo for 2 player nearing retirement is brassard for Mika all over again, horrible trade

Chatfield's analytics through evolving hockey are really good. Big body too.

My only concern would be is he good in other systems or is it just Rod's system

If he
1) can make a quick pass under pressure
2) has an active stick
3) good possession numbers
4) doesn’t ice the puck or treat it like a grenade

He should be good

From my amateur viewings/opinion, he meets your criteria and would be a great partner for Kleven who makes the team next year.
