Cap wise I believe this really doesn't make sense for Tampa. They are also weak at RD. So trading their best RD doesn't make much sense. The value is fine and as a Leafs fan I would highly consider this but I don't see it working for Tampa.

I would really miss Robertson. I like him a lot. If we do trade him, getting a HUGE, young defensive DMAN would be desirable. So I wouldn't mind this. I still hope we keep Robertson though.

We have cost effective guys who fail to show up in the playoffs

We're not trading two cost effective guys for one expensive guy who doesn't show up either

laugh Tampa doesn't have the cap space for Mitch Marner, Plus Marner isn't waiving.

TB isn't remotely interested they're not paying a guy the money Mariner is going to want and not a snowballs chance in Tampa in August they sign Hagel to an 8 year extension he puts up the numbers he does and they trade him before a second of it is played. They also aren't giving up 2 guys locked up long term at about 1.5 mil less than Marner will want . Absolutely assinine asset management and really bad practice to sign a guy long term and ship him to one of the heaviest tax burdened municipalities in the NHL. Nothing says yeah I'll sign a below market deal with you than screwing players over like that.
EDIT: I just did a double check both salaries combined are going to be less than what Marner gets and they have a combined 15 years remaining to 1 of Marner Not A CHANCE !!!

Hagel has played very well both games. Bob stole that game when he absolutely robbed Dumba

I'm not calling Hagel an underperformer, I love him and the dude is solid haha
I meant we've got some decent team friendly deals on the roster, no reason to trade them for a huge one and screw our situation further
Bob walled us and it absolutely sucked to lose this one
