Dodged a hit, soft and still plays like he has under a Kyle Dubas philosophy

Yes we know you think simmons knows anything about hockey, you dont need to double down on hilariously shallow analysis so bad don cherry would make fun of you

anyone who thinks he was dodging a hit and not running a play that guys like Mcdavid, Kucherov, Draisatil, Mackinnon and even Konecny do all the time really should study the game a little harder.

Someone should really understand jokes online.

Or possibly understand that the jokes have a little truth in it if it stings a bit too much.

Also, the guys above mentioned does have a physical aspect to their game unlike Marner. It's playoffs and Toronto has been said they play soft, time to play hard and take hits.

or that Steve Simmons call it as he sees it. Could I ask what has Marner done in game 1 and game 2 that doesn't warrant this narrative?

Last time I checked, while making $10.9M, he should have more than 0G, 0A, and 0P in 2 playoff games played. He wants all the fame, attention, glory, endorsements during the regular season but the moment the playoffs happen, he turns into a shrivelled shrimp. Most pathetic and embarrassing player I have seen in this day and age

Calls it like it'll get him clicks from the losers who think bragging about being an "alpha male" makes look tough. He got you pegged.

Marner takes plenty of hits, and throws a fair amount for a two way superstar forward.
And the only people who think toronto has lost a single playoff game recently because they are soft hasnt watched a single game with any ability to understand what is going on.
If you dont want to actually talk about the play and just get mad that the only person who liked your joke is an anti leaf troll then tell better jokes

Can you provide a term for fair amount?

Season this year is 59. Playoffs is at 3(I am actually surprised), but he gave a hit on "the play" which he avoided the hit. So, it's safe to say he's less than a hit per game this year. For a guy who averages 20mins a night it's pretty low.

He should have taken the hit. Tavares was right there to take the puck. Link below of the play I am talking about.

How many 80+ point elite 2 way wingers play harder physically than marner? Theres your question.
As for the play, it was a typical 'keep speed beat the defender to the inside play that guys like him, even way more physical ones do every game.
Was it the best choice of play? No, because he's clearly not up to something that involves a burst if speed and a direction pivote so soon after a high ankle sprain.
Would have taking the hit been a better play? Maybe, but there were probably half a dozen other things that could have worked better.
It was a bad play, but it wasnt a bad play because of some made up bailing on a hit nonsense

Marner could look at the guys who are wearing a C on both teams in this series. Both have adjusted their game to sacrifice points for their team. I do like Marner, but he needs to adjust. Make it harder for the other teams.

how does that help with a healing a high ankle sprain and getting up to full strength? Nothing about Marner's play these past two games suggests anything other than he's physically a step or two slow. He basically cant play the way he has played his entire career and 'looking at the guys wearing the C' means literally nothing. Especially when the one in yellow dives and then cant even fake clutch the correct leg that got lightly tapped

Those throwaways were signed by Kyle Dubas

OMG Dubas signed this one guy this one time.... now we must attach him to him on EVERY single TOR acgm.............

Honestly, GMs sign guys, it doesn't mean they are stuck with them for life.
Such poor reasoning just another "DuBaS LiKeS hIs GuYs" post.

But it's not just one guy. Do you what what's common among all these players?

Malgin, Kerfoot, Barrie, Ceci, Holl, Marincin, Engvall, Petan, Campbell, Mrazek, Jarnkrok, Marner, and Blackwell?

A: They are all soft
