Probably not because of the UPL improvement and levi most likely backing him up next season that is where the sabres would like to save money.

And I’m not worried about this season- it was a “down” year for most of our guys offensively, he’ll bounce back there fella

This idea gets a No from two different directions. Skinner is highly unlikely to waive his NMC for Anaheim, and Pat Verbeek is highly unlikely to trade away our locker-room-favorite team leader who is our only right-handed NHL-qualified defenseman for two left-handed forwards, of whom we have ten already on the roster for next year. And that's without discussing the effect having a $9 million AAV contract on the books would work on the negotiations for Trevor's new contract in 2025-2026.

I’m genuinely curious, I don’t mean offense. Are you actually happy with Skinner on your books at $9M? He’s averaged like 22/23 goals/season since signing that extension, and he’s 31 years old now with 3 full years left on the deal

He’s overpaid- no one is “happy” about that
But as far as Skinner goes in general, it just doesn’t matter what myself- or my fellow fans- think about him

The Sabres like him and are ABSOLUTELY NOT going to pay to get him off their books

This year was a down season offensively for many of our players
Year before, he went 35g-47a-82pts
Season before that, 33-30-63pts

Bottom line is that he isn’t going anywhere this season
And if he has another down season instead of bouncing back,
then we can look to buy him out fairly affordably


And absolutely no offense taken at all sir
