The Flyers acquire Trevor Zegras, hoping Tortorella can mould him into a number one center, the game breaker he was drafted to be. The Ducks acquire a 14th overall pick in Joel Farabee, who broke out a little offensively in 2023-24, and a 34th overall pick in Bobby Brink, who didn't play well enough to earn much ice time on the Flyers this past season, but isn't a bust and can grow into a good offensive player himself (capfriendly's scouting report has him with a 79 rating with 2nd line potential/talent level). I'm sending Boston's 2nd round pick to the Flyers as well, just looking at it from Daniel Briere's perspective.

Ana: Cutter Gauthier plays lower in the lineup to start his NHL career, so he can learn more of the all-round game. He'd still be on the 1st PP. Killorn moves down to line 3 once Farabee and Gauthier are more established with the team.

Killorn - Carlsson - Terry
Farabee - McTavish - Vatrano
Gauthier - Strome - Brink
Lundestrom - Groulx - Leason
Johnston

Phi:

Tippett - Zegras - Konecny
Frost - Couturier - Foerster
Cates - Laughton - Atkinson
DesLauriers - Poehling - Hathaway
Lycksell

Yeah that is not going to work just like how Zegras and Torts wouldn’t work

I know you think Zegras is a god, but he's a guy with two 60 point seasons who struggled this past season to find his footing, when he was able to play. I'm not saying he's bad, obviously, but honestly, unless it was someone with Draisaitl's talent, I doubt you would find anything acceptable for him. No offense, but it feels like you're the Mox of Ducks fans lol. Furthermore, I simply don't have the doubts about a working relationship with Tortorella you do!

He was injured all year with the same injury that kept Couture out nearly all year

I know he was hurt, don't get me wrong, I wasn't suggesting he only played 30 odd games due to scratches!

No, he was hurt all the games before the broken ankle as well. Since coming back he had 8 in 8 and was looking like what we expect. Guy changes the looks we get as a whole

We are not trading him for a middle 6 LWer and a 5’nothing guy, that isn’t want Verbeek wants

I agree with him that this doesn’t get it done and probably needs a 1st thrown in. I also agree with you that I think him and Torts would work out fine. Everyone thought Torts would hate TK and that’s not the case all u need to do is work hard and Torts will like you. I also think it’s funny that he acts like Brink and Farabee are nothing players lol. Farabee is 24 and just put up 50 points while spending a load of games on the 3rd and 4th line. Brink was on pace for 33 points as a rookie and is a Hobey Baker Award winner.

Half the games he played he was hurt, he had Osteitis Pubis from the pre season, the same injury that kept Logan Coulture off the ice basically all season. He was able to fully heal that while his broken ankle healed, that's why he looked like his normal self when he came back a few weeks ago, and was named to Team USA today.

Brink is of no interest to Anaheim, a potential flyers trade would have to focus around Foerster or Tippett.

I would be interested in potentially moving Bonk for Zegras but Bonk AND what else? I can assure you if you get the Flyers to budge on moving Bonk who they just drafted ur not getting more than a 1st, Bonk, and a 2nd. They probably view Bonk as worth more than just a late 1st where they drafted him because he just had a huge year and other than Drysdale is their only hope on the right side of their defense so it would be like take one step forward to take two steps back. Basically they would have to draft a RHD this year which means you can’t have our 2024 1st. So it would either have to be 2024 FLA 1st or our 2025 1st

I'd rather move Foerster over Bonk, our defense was horrendous near the end. Granted I'd rather move neither of them as I don't think Zegras is up for grabs, nor do I think Zegras would fix the Flyers.

I’d rather Foerster to Bonk as well but I also don’t think we trade Zegras as he does make us better as we saw this year

Yeah, I think the reason people seem so hellbent to try and get Zegras is because of his friendship with Drysdale and York. Plus he's a strong player. I just can't see the Ducks moving him unless he demands a trade, which doesn't look like a current possibility.
