Description
The thompson deal wouldnt be this offseason most likely if this was even a possibility.
Buffalo gets a needed Rhd whos young and thriving in the khl and is already a captian
A interesting prospect in farrell who can play in the top 9 or be traded for another package.
2 1rst and a 2nd most analysis say mtl are still a bottom 10 team so this is fair value.

Thompson is the perfect developed center rw who mtl needs to compete and be dominant.
Buffalo is already stacked with young center prospects and cozens developing so thompson is older and can be moved.

At this point im trynna convince the opposing fan base hes able to be moved.
I just wanna know the price.
Mtl can optain him with being able to move all the guys in ltir for some pieces.

Now i ask is this team able to compete with the young future we have??

Id leave next years first of cgy who might be worse then mtl available for mtl as its unprotected and hagens mckenna mcqueen are very very hiy prospects mtl should be valuing.

For the future id look our for a top 6 rw and top 4 shutdown rhd in trades or drafts

Also if thompson isn’t available for that or period thats alot of draft capital and some good prospects to find a equal or better player in the future (hopefully)

Lmk what yall think…

Sabres have zero use for undersized dmen and futures. They certainly aren't trading their number 1 center for those things.

What would be a better package? I understand thompson is ur #1 c but wouldnt u rather have cozens and savoie as ur 1-2 instead of a older c? Jw

Why can't we have all 3? I don't think there's a realistic scenario where the Sabres trade Thompson.

The reason of why I would not make that trade it's because Thompson never proved that he is a constant high-elite player for years. One of the most overhyped player in the league in my opinion.

No, I wouldn't.

Savoie won't play center and we already have all 3

Okay but even like
Benson-Thompson-Tuch
Jp-Cozens-Quinn
Kulich-Savoie-Rosen
Ostlund-Krebs-Nadeau
Rousek
And skinner for few more years.

What's your point?

Rousek is an ahler. Savoie and ostlund go to ahl.

Nadeau was in echl.

I'd trade almost everyone of them before tage. All you did was give picks to add to that group anyways

Im pointing out your future unless your goalie tandem and the rest of the team takes a tremendous leap there not contenders untill imo savoie is in the show and you lock down a top paring rhd
