The only way that the Montreal first gets ahead of the Anaheim first in order to draft Levshunov is if the Habs win the second-place lottery, in which case I see them using it themselves.

Were you thinking of Dadonov? (Mikheyev is with Vancouver.)

How does Dallas give you the Mikheyev contract and where is it?

No i was entertaining the idea of trading Kovacevic to Vancouver for a 2nd round pick and Mikheyev contract.

I would be surprised if Anaheim draft at 3rd and doesn’t pick one of Demidov or Lindtrom.

I will be shocked, outraged and disappointed if Anaheim picks second or third and doesn't select Levshunov.

Demidov is at least a putative RW (although he's left-handed) but Lindstrom is duplicative of Zegras, Carlsson, Gauthier and McTavish. If we get screwed a third time by the lottery process, I'd rather we choose Helenius, Parekh, Yakemchuk or even Buium (who I understand plays well on his off side) than Lindstrom.

I am not that high on Lindstrom either, but historically when a prospect have is size and talent they usually get pick early. San jose, Chicago, Anaheim, Columbus and Mtl could all use size up front. I would be shocked at all if he was selected early in this draft. Now the question is, would i selected him top 5? No i wouldn’t. I think that Parehk, Bium, Levshunov and Dickinson would all be better pick. I would also pick Greentree and Iginla before Lindstrom. But that just me i know that Lindstrom is a sexy pick so i’ll go early
