Will you take Ryan Strome instead? 'Cause that package ain't getting you Frank Vatrano.

I sure hope no one else would pay more. He’ll never break 35 goals again. His previous highs in a span of 10 seasons are 24 goals (2018-29) and 41 points (last year)….

Then why in the world are you putting him with Sidney Crosby on your first line?

You think that he'll tail off playing with Sid?!?

Considering the context, this might be the most asinine comment ever made about one of the greatest players in the game.

Do you even HEAR yourself?!?!?

Even if you think Vatrano will fall off, why would ANA accept this return when his value is as high as it’s ever been? Especially considering that they publicly stated that they’re looking to add a solid player to their forward group, not subtract.

I don’t necessarily think the return is even bad, but there is just no reason for ANA to move Vatrano for anything other than an overpay, which would include a 1st. A top contender would pay that for his production at his cap hit.

And we're supposed to take a guy who has been poisoning the locker room in Pitt, a guy who can't figure out how to translate his abilities in the AHL to the NHL level, and a couple picks, none of which are first?

You know what Vatrano also did his first year in Anaheim? Put up a career high in points. He may never hit 37 again, but I'd be willing to wager he's good for another 25-30 next year, at least if he's here.

Ducks wouldn’t move Vatrano at the deadline because their ask was super high. There’s no reason this would entice them
