Are San Jose fans really this F***ING stupid or are there just a rash of trolling San Jose posts? Not a f***ING Snowballs chance in Tampa in August They Trade Cernak for Burroughs or Jan F***ING Rutta and a 5th or really at all

Please give one intelligent and rational explanation why Tampa Bay remotely considers that trade? TB counters David Edstrom for a 26 7th.. which is as realistic as the pile of manure proposed above

Well this is better than Cernak for Burroughs. But still an easy no from Tampa Bay.

This article said that Cernak is TB's worst contract:
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10116169-the-worst-contracts-on-every-nhl-team-for-the-2023-24-season

This article suggested that Chicago could get Cernak for a 3rd
https://thehockeywriters.com/lightning-blackhawks-could-be-trade-deadline-partners-again/

I thought about just offering a 3rd for Cernak, but I needed to move a RD to make room for him and I figured Rutta had some value, plus a good past relationship with TB and Hedman.
Cernak is clearly better than Rutta (which is why the Sharks would do this), but from the articles I read it appeared that TB might need to trade Cernak for cap reasons.

Whoever wrote that article should either put the crackpipe down or completely pull their head out of their a$$ because they're absolutely clueless. If TB thought Rutta was worth close to that he'd be wearing blue and white with a lightning bolt already.

Show me one time with the cap hell TB has been involved with when they signed a player for 6 or more years and traded them within 2 years? Don't waste your time it hasn't happened under this ownership.it isn't how TB operates.

So 5.2 million for a top pair shutdown RD is their worst contract says to me they don't have any bad contracts, and giving 7 years of Cernak for a piss ant 4 the and a guy TB allowed to walk for nothing is utterly moronic.

OK. Maybe this was a bad trade idea, but it is still better than the actual Tanner Jeannot trade.

Here's another article saying that TB needs to trade Cernak in order to free up cap space.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10109841-the-player-every-team-should-shop-at-the-2024-nhl-trade-deadline.amp.html

Last year when Florida needed to clear cap, the Sharks were able to pick up Anthony Duclair for just a 5th and Steven Lorentz.

What do you think is a fair trade for Cernak? A 2nd?

Good luck to the Bolts today.

I think TBs cap situation is massively overblown . Stamkos will take a very club friendly deal or walk. I think trading Cernak would be a mistake of epic proportions
