Doubt ottawa does that. I’m very high on Sogaard and having to still pay Forsberg would be tough need the money on depth

It would be hard to see the Caps giving up Lindgren with him being their MVP this season.

Fair enough. What if the Sens got that in a separate deal, what do you think they'd want for DB?

Not a fan of that deal for NSH. I don’t see much in Boucher, and not a fan of attaching the 2nd.

Remove the 4th and switch the late 2nd for a 3rd?

He’s on a very good contract so probably the equivalent of like Kakko level middle 6 player and pick in the 12-15 range

yeah and theres no clause so can send him anywhere. Just thinking aloud on what kind of shakeup ottawa has available to them beyond the usually chychrun stuff. He's an interesting trade piece depending on how the market shakes out. Winger value is tough to predict though in any given summer.

I look at the Lundkvist deal as a comparable, and NYR got a conditional 1st and 4th. Sure, RHD is a more desirable position, but I’d argue Tomasino is better than when Lundkvis was traded, though slightly older too. And Tomasino was a slightly higher draft pick as well, if that counts for anything— probably not much. Still not sure exactly what a deal would look like, but this is just my thought process.

Thoughts on Boucher and what would you want for just him alone?

He’s a 65pt player with the potential to get 70+ making less than 5 mill and only 25 years old

Buchnevich had all world analytics and was dealt for like sammy blais lol. Reinhart went for a late first and tiny goalie from a league nobody heard of. This isnt even a dig at batherson's value which i know is good, its about the market for wingers being extremely volatile. the year to year variance is nuts.

Reinhart kept taking 1 year deals and wanted a big contract.

Buchnevich was about to be paid too.

Batherson is locked in at a very good AAV

would not trade Chych, who is a top 4 dman in his prime, for a 33 yo 4th liner, a 33 yo 3rd pair dman and a G that has done nothing so far in his career, WSH would need to add their 1st+ with these 3 to get chych
