The Hawks don’t need LHD, so if you want them to take Graves with $4.5m x 5 remaining you will have to do much better then Bemstrom and a flip of a 4th round pick for a 2nd round pick.

Bemstrom and a 2nd isn't moving that Graves contract "anywhere". And looking at that blue line you've assembled, you may want to hang on to Grave's anyway. POJ and Shea as 2nd and 3rd LD? Yikes!

To be fair on their behalf we did see this team damn near win their way in to the playoffs in the last two weeks with those pairings.

they aren't moving graves, surely not paying to move him.
They aren't trade Broz who just signed.
They aren't giving up 1st round picks on over paid rentals.
There is no way they would extend marner at his current cap hit, they wouldn't even pay Jake, who's a better goal scorer.
