Taking a run at the maple leafs, with the Baisis the core needs to change for playoffs.

Det trade:
Det gets Marner a stand out superstar that's under contract for another 2 years. He should add a strong skill set to an upcoming team than should take this team to the next level all around. Pairing him with a guy like Larkin or even a guy like Larkin or Debrincat will increase their production. High end talent is tough to find in this league. Marner will be coming off a down playoff run so his value may be as low as its going to be right now.

Leafs get:
Copp a good player maybe a little overpaid but has had some good playoffs runs as a third line guy in Winnipeg. Should be able to fit on a top line and take care of some of the dirty work with skill to match. Middle tier power forward.
Edvinson Detroit's second rank prospect that just cracked the NHL, lots of good things herd about him but still some risk as he's a young defenseman that hasn't proven anything yet. Detroit has some good young defensemen and could afford to move him for top end talent in Marner.

Tuch trade:
Buf gets a good value for a second or third pairing defensemen and a 1st round pick to add to their developing team. Tuch is a good player but it didn't get Buffalo to wear it needed to.

Tor gets:
Tuck, a big body guy that can skate. Hès a big guy and creates a tough playoff matchup and could play anyone from 1st line to third line for the leafs.

Stamko signing - coming off a good season (although hes 2 way game wasn't great) he can fill an offensive void Marners loss provides and he has the championship experience to provide. A chance to finish his career in Toronto and help get them a cup.

Larason -
Seat- Moves Larson and gets a solid 3rd or 4th line guy and a draft pick. They might be able to get more so maybe Toronto adds a bit to get this guy.

Tor gets- Just a solid stay at home guy to go with Rielly. Is he a number 1 pairing guy probably not but his job is to just hold the fort and maximimes Rielly.

Lindholm - Is the perfect 3rd line center for this team. He is an all-around 200 ft guy and coming off a down year is the perfect time to buy on him. You don't need him to put up 80 points you need him to anchor a shut down hard to play against line. Anything more than that is gravy.

Zadorov - Bring the beast, a huge defensemen that is having a great playoff run. Forget a guy like Reaves this is the guy you want and he can play come playoff time. Bidding will be tough for this guy come the offseason.

Desmith - A break out year, signing him coming off some playoff experience should help tighten up the goalie situation. Is he going to be a veznia finalist... no, but your paying your goalies a combined 4 mill just solid play is what your hoping for and maybe one breaks out.
