I've thought about this, but I don't know how you justify his next contract. He better be signing for less than he makes right now for it to make sense. I'm talking like 9.5mil tops. I don't know how you come back from that clip of him getting called a crybaby by Nylander

0 chance ottawa considers Tkachuk. Nothing involving Marner and Tkachuk is ever happening. Marner will cost 5 mill more and make the Sens softer . Nope

Marchment would be perfect for this team, but idk... I'm looking at this, and I still feel like I want a vet 3C in there. love Greig, but I like him more as a winger. I don't believe they get it done when their most experienced C is a 22 year old with less than 300 games played. I don't like it at all, but maybe Joseph is the casualty there to get that 200ft 3C. Greig-Pageau-Giroux?

13 mill for Marner soon vs 8 mill for Tkachuk while being 2 years older and much smaller and softer.

I don’t care about the 10-20 extra points

This might be the worst one I've seen for the Leafs lol.

Ok I’ll take him for a 3rd then . Be real this isn’t worse than thinking you can get Brady Tkachuk for Marner. At least you’re getting a 2C and 2Lw here both under 27

That's why I said it was the worst for the Leafs.

It's not as bad as idiots thinking they're getting Edvinsson+ or Zegras + McTavish + ANA's 1st, for sure... But it is bad for the Leafs when you consider Norris and Chychrun both had particularly bad years and cost more combined than Marner.

They're getting bad value AND not opening cap space they sorely need. At least in the other giveaway threads they're getting cap space.
