St Louis has more overpaid players than Toronto.. nice try bud
On a serious note though. Yes St. Louis does have bad contracts, but their core pieces are on nice deals. People like Krug will be gone in time. However the core pieces for Toronto are great players, but no discounts were given. Matthews at 13+ is a fair price, but as far as contract goes you're not getting a steal necessairly. You just get to keep a Superstar player for a lot of money, which is debateable to whether or not that makes for a good team.
Thomas although not nearly as good as Matthews is only paid just north of 8 million. This is a very good value for the contract. Same could be said for players like Jack Hughes, Cale Makar, Draisaital, and even the Tkachuks.

Teams go through natural ebs and flows. Blues are in a retool between windows. Leafs are getting round 1 bounced in their window. Leafs havent won a cup since they started putting buckets on the players heads.
I wasn't trying to insult your team. I was just saying I would rather have the Blues contract issues than the leafs contract issues.
