I don’t think this necessarily makes the Jackets better. The Detroit trade won’t happen bc Breggren is not getting traded. Any Laine trade is likely to be draft picks with conditions. Carolina can do better. Winnipeg doesn’t do it.

Provorov isn't a good fit for Winnipeg, as they need right side defenseman. Next year, they currently have Pionk and Schmidt as NHL RD under contract (plus some prospects).

I like Chinakhov, but the Orlov-Boqvist swap is pretty unnecessary. Boqvist is just "we have Tony DeAngelo at home".

The Jets don't have the available cap space or need for an expensive LHD to play behind Morrissey.
