You clearly don't watch him play. Analytical nerds only look at the numbers, which don't even tell half of the story. And if you actually read the response, he had a lingering back issue the last few years. This season was his first fully healthy season since the cup run and it shows. Your response clearly shows you don't know anything about Parayko or the Blues, so keep to analytics.

Dom Luszczyszyn hates the Blues, that’s why Colt55 is on the list, he’s been hurt for 3 years too. Dvorsky at 2C is where every Blue fan projects him to be. You also forgot about Knies’ buddy Snuggerud, in his prime he has the potential to be a 40 G guy. Bolduc has been steady, Dean is a scrappy player, and Stenberg/Lindstein aren’t here yet. Look at all the contracts coming off the books for STL in 2-4 years. No more Hayes, Krug, Faulk, Saad, Schenn's close to expiring at that point. STL will get a decent player in this years draft too. Their future is miles better than Toronto’s, that’s for sure. OTT, MTL, BUF, DET will be better than the Leafs, TB, FLA, and BOS aren’t going away either.

I love Snugs, he won't be a 40 goal guy though. Consistent 30-30 60 point guy is where I see him ending up but it's still a team with a lack of star power and defense core that will have to be rebuilt and will likely have to get a big FA signing or trade to rebuild it.

The Leafs are screwed, pretty much everyone but their fans saw this coming when they stopped caring about defense and paid all their star forwards

Stick to being mid and watching teams like Anaheim bounce you in the first round every year

Blues have never been a star power team. It's all about balance. That is what led them to win a cup. Look at all the star power Toronto has and how many playoff rounds they've won. Star power doesn't equal success.

Blues will have a young core with Thomas, Kryou, Bolduc, Snuggy, and Dvorsky in their top six within a few years. Then adding the likes of Buch if he stays. They just need a better third line and better defensive depth and they'll probably win more rounds in one years than the Leafs in the past 15 years all with balance rather than starpower. Doesn't really matter how many goals Snuggy scores, but if he plays with Thomas and Bolduc, I can see 30-40 goals each year easily. Maybe even more. And Bolduc could legitimately put up 30 on his own

Salty cause you know you're wrong lmao. Analytics don't share the whole story. Maybe watch games rather than relying on your homer journalists that don't know a thing

I like McCabe, but he's another lefty. Edmonton has too many already. I don't see them being in the market for a guy like McCabe. He should get a 2nd from someone though, maybe more.

Buddy it's okay, I'm not saying they're going to be horrible. They're just going to be forever mid level. They had a chance to tear it down, they chose not to and now don't have the star power that other teams will have when they play.

Even Snugs and Bolduc, good players but I don't think either will ever be ppg players. And the dcore is old with no top end prospects coming in, that typically leads to a team floating in that good enough to make playoffs but never win a cup their as a team. That's the Blues reality for the next 5 years

Oilers have
Ekholm
Nurse
Kulak
Broberg

All on the left side. We dont need another left D and we dont need to spend 4 million a year on a 3rd pair Dman. Because that is what he would be in Edmonton

Looking at those names... He'd be your 2LD...

So where would he go?
Bouchard
Desharnais
Ceci who we have locked up for a couple more years.
Wanner

Broberg, Ekholm, Kulak all play both sides.

These names just confirm McCabe would be your number 3 defensemen...

Toronto declines making EDM much better

For who

blues because we dont want marner for that value, parayko is our only big defenseman who also is good, the blues would be in so much cap, and i just dont see the blues trading binner yet.

So You suggest the Oilers accept that trade. Play their 9 million dollar Dman 12 minutes a night and trade Kulak and our future first pairing D Broberg to another team or lose him on waivers???
Is that how Leafs run their team?
Hmmmmmm

I suggest he's an upgrade over most of their DCore, unlike what you suggest...

A quick hint: Don't sign a 3rd pairing caliber defensemen to a 9.25 million dollar contract

Well we disagree. I don't believe Nurse is a 3rd caliber dman and he wanted to play in Edmonton. Do you understand what that means. Edmonton is not Toronto.

Everyone in this forum is delusional

This trade also just makes zero sense what so ever, no trade ever has that many moving parts

And? I want to play in Toronto, where's my 9 million dollar contract?

It's obvious how big of an upgrade McCabe would be to EDM... And Toronto isn't trading him for only a 2nd

Can’t forget about Neighbours, sneaky 30 G scorer. If he can put up 30 I can’t wait to see what Dvorsky and Snug do.

I didn't expect my GM thing to get so much chatting

Controversial trades will do that.
