genuine question for leafs fans:

What makes you think Tavares is ever going to waive his NMC?

A hope and a prayer on my part. Maybe he sees the writing on the wall. But I'm not expecting him to waive..

At least you're honest. he didn't want to waive in his final year on the Islanders so expecting him to waive while on his childhood team is far fetched

So a 4th line C, a bust, and an overpaid Robby Fabbri for Marner? Like what are we doing here?

Kasper would be TORs top prospect.

My hunch is he’ll want out of this conference and won’t want to play for a rebuilding team or in a ****ty climate

Nah. 35 points in 71 AHL games is mid. Idc how well he plays defence, that type of production is not top 10 pick production

I think he'll want to remain in the division to stick it to the Leafs. Plus, a line of Debrincat-Larkin-Marner would be deadly.

Then might as well keep Marner since I guess heart, compete and strong defensive play don't matter.

Whatever you say sir lol. I feel like when the Wings finally get to the playoffs, having him "play defense well" will come in handy.

I'd take that Detroit trade all day long.
