Thats like saying the sharks can trade will smith because they have thomas Bordeleau. They play the same position but they arent the same player.

Guhle is already playing top pairing minutes putting up good defensive metrics in them. He is also comfortable on both sides.

He is the untouchable of the group especially not for a 5'10 27 year old winger

I apologize I really didn’t think highly of him. To be fair if someone offered a top pai RD stud for Smith and took Vlasic I would consider it.

For you or your team maybe, I’m generalizing here tbh. Also Karlsson and Hertl we’re also traded during the cap Crunch era, this trade would be with the first significant Cap increase in a while, making it less necessary for retention. Truth be told there is no right or wrong answer until something happens.

there is. we can use logic. of course no one is taking on couturier right now.

make it two firsts. no one is taking a 6x6 gamble on couturier for a second.

full retention, or he stays a flyer.

He would immediately be ur 1C lol stop acting all high and mighty it’s comical. He’s a Selke winner lol u would be paying for him not the other way around.

I hate the Montreal deal I don’t want to see Anderson near the team and we would want a top forward from Montreal not a defenseman.

Tk should be getting a top 1st and good prospect or good pick (2nd) and top prospect by himself so by that metric we are just taking Anderson who has extreme negative value for dumping 1 year of Johansen who is going to be medically retired anyway

lol
wayne gretzky was a hart winner lol
lol
i dont think he'd be the bruins top C today lol

lol zacha and coyle played much better than couturier did this year. lol

his contract is one of the worst in the NHL. stop living in delusion. lol lol lol. dope.

He’s a 2C and a former Selke winner with great defensive metric after being out of hockey for two years. Not one player on the Bruins barring Pasta would be able to comeback like that and be effective. His contract is a risk for sure but not one of the worst in the NHL that’s just a lie.

Also try having a hockey conversation without insulting people, that’s usually what adults do.

Huh, because he actually really good up until February when he ran out of gas. It typically happens to rookies because they aren’t used to playing all those games coming from college. Has to be even harder coming off of not playing any games in 2 years.

Beecher must suck then cause his numbers were way worse than a guy whose “play is horrible”. Geekie must suck cause he had the same amount of points and I bet is worse defensively. If Coots is horrible then half your team is horrible lol. And that half of players had worse numbers than Coots who is coming off of 2 back surgeries, what’s ur players excuse?

think those injury concerns have gone away? they haven't. Geekie was awesome - and makes close to a quarter of what "coots," (cute), makes. Beecher was solid in his call up, and is on an ELC. Everything in the NHL cap word is a function of the players on-ice contribution weighed against their contract. Geekie and Beecher far outvalue their contract. Much the opposite for ole coots. he's stuck in philly. enjoy.

31yrs old, coming of multiple back surgeries and a nearly $8 million cap hit for another 6 years. Not the right move for Boston even with the cap going up.

You act like the cap won’t be at $100M in 3-4 years and third liners won’t be making $6-7M especially 3Cs lol if Coots is still playing at a 2C level $8M will be right on par with other 2Cs in the league.

Also Geekie 39 points on a top team in the league = Awesome

Coots 38 points coming off of 2 back surgeries and missing the last 2 years on a team that was supposed to be bottom 5 in the league = Horrible

I understand ur level of intelligence now. No point in discussing further lol.

Ur right Coots is only in the top 12% in defensive metrics after missing 2 years of hockey lol so he’s better than 88% of the league after missing two years defensively, thanks for continuing to prove my point. Ur so insightful to listen to lol!

That’s crazy I figured Philly should pass that deal favors Montreal way more and almost seems like a joke. If you pass sharks wouldn’t Johansson is 1 year at 4 mil not hard to swallow vs Anderson deal and Konecky is a 30 goal scorer vs a young (albeit promising) LD and you guys have a pretty stacked young D core.

Habs pass. No question.
