Description

BIG RUMOUR : Seems like Los Angeles can take the decision to buyout the Dubois contract if the playoffs finish before June 22. Dubois will gonna have 26y on June 24, and before reaching this age, a player who can be buyout with only give 1/3 as a cap penalty for the Kings instead of the 2/3 if the player have 26y or older. Also, there is a rule that you can only buyout a contract 48 hours after the last game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as finished.

So, for example, the last game of the playoffs is June 16, the Kings are obligated to wait until June 19 to take the decision to buyout him, but they need to do that before June 24 (his birthday date to reach 26y).

That's can help the Kings a lot for the futhermore years.

if the GM buys him out he's just fired himself, bailing on that big of a move a year on because it didn't go as planned is him admitting he messed up and I doubt Kings management would trust him to make a big move like such again

I just don’t understand why you would want to spend money on him. He just isn’t worth the time or money. Coming from a Jackets fan, just forget this guy. He is a cancer.

There somes rumours is that he REALLY wanted to get traded to the Habs when he was with Columbus and when he was with Winnipeg. So, my perception of this is that he will gonna playing well if he is with the Habs.

He signed long-term because Brisson wanted ta he sign long-term because it's better for Dubois financially...
