Trades
1.
PIT
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc
  2. Kaliyev, Arthur [RFA Rights]
  3. 2025 3rd round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
I keep seeing posts either buying PLD out or trading him with retention. If LAK really want to move on from him, PIT should be all over it. Let's be honest, Malkin is done in two years. Crosby is probably extending another three to four years. PLD behind Sid is a solid 2C option. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. PIT is going to suck regardless anyway when 87 retires. Take the chance because it might be a home run.

I have PIT getting the higher pick due to PLD term but the picks can be switched.
LAK
  1. Jarry, Tristan
  2. Smith, Reilly ($1,500,000 retained)
  3. 2025 5th round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
LAK get a goalie that they can get a 1B behind and even his games played. Smith is Arvidson replacement and LAK let Turcotte and Thomas play full time.
2.
PIT
  1. 2024 4th round pick (PHI)

  1. Acciari, Noel
  2. Nieto, Matt
  3. 2024 7th round pick (PIT)
  4. 2025 7th round pick (PIT)

Kings fans would probably do it but I dont think it needs to be complicated with Jarry retention, draft picks, and Kaliyev.
PLD straight up for Jarry and Smith or Graves.

I would really like the Pens to get Kaliyev because I feel he is like McCann Bonino etc.., a young player that could benefit from a change of scenery.

Not sure what that means but we have our cups so if we "end up like Buffalo", we have something to show for it and it will be worth it.

All I'm saying is they're getting farther from contention, not closer. They should start the rebuild instead of putting it off and digging a deeper hole. You don't have to trade Crosby or anything but they should start thinking forward

I mean a PLD move like this is interesting, if it works out and PLD has a good bounce back year could be great but could end up worse, but nothing of any real value would be given up, just cap space and the term to PLD. But to me Graves has to be going the other way instead of jarry imo. If it works out malkin can be moved to crosbys wing to hopefully take pressure off him and return him to a more point producing less responsibility role, and have PLD center the 2nd line. but i dont really think this effects the future, just a shot in the dark for a chance for a playoff run.

Wait for the buyout imo

I think a big issue is they can't really even rebuild if they wanted to. Sid/Malkin/Rust/Letang/Karlsson all have NMCs. They basically have one player they can trade for any decent value. If they had a bunch of guys they could offload for picks/prospects, then maybe that would be the right thing to do. But with very limited trade options and the older guys still playing at a high level, I think their best option is to still try and compete
