I think I rather resign Duclair than getting Sprong. Duclair looked quite good on the Kucherov line.

Detroit hides Daniel Sprong on the 4th pair to limit his TOI and thus defensive liability and down the stretch they had to scratch him multiple games.

Yet, you want him playing 2nd line minutes....you'll never make the playoffs.

I'm not sure we can afford him unless he takes way below market value or we offload another contract. But I agree with you
