you are right it wont happen, marner is not taking a 2 million dollar pay cut.

He probably gets 2 million pay raise in Toronto if we are being real.

Also Krug is just a worse Rielly which we REALLY do NOT need!

I fully am anticipating the usual Blues fans to chime in saying Krug is somehow awesome. And Kyrou is better than Marner because reasons.

I guarantee not a single blues fan thinks Krug is good. The best ive heard about im is that he should be scratched over being bought out. Now that being said I do think Marner is better then Kryou but i could see him being involved in a trade for Marner tbf. But STL would have to add and Marner would have to come with an extension.

IMO there are to many limiting factors between both teams to make both sides happy in a Marner to Stl trade. and thats not even counting the NMC's and NTC's etc

Not really a troll post. Krug is a cap dump, but even if Marner is a better player he isn't outproducing his contract. He has one more year and then will presumably get a raise. You can't want to get rid of Marner at any cost and want to get good value out of it at the same time.

If you are moving him at any cost then you are an idiot. It's that simple. It's emotions and immaturity. Most people have no control over their emotions. They are hurt by a team losing and put all their overwhelming feelings into hating Marner. It's ridiculous.

Moving him is definitely an option but if that best you can do is trade him for a cap dump and a much lesser player than Marner, you just don't.

Unfortunately for the many who are dying to see Marner on their team for nothing, they will be disappointed.

In fairness I don't want him on my team. All this trade does is back off the ledge of paying your stars 8 digit contracts. Just trying to temper Leaf fans expectations that teams are going to be lining up to trade their best players for Mitch Marner.
