New coach will trust his players, especially younger ones, and build them up, unlike Keefe. I'd much rather see Grebyonkin in the lineup than castoffs like Gregor.

Not as worse as running it back with the same gutless core.

Love Calle but if we're moving assets we're probably trying to upgrade our RD instead.

It gets worse as in "Other Marner to PIT trades that Pens fans declined are better for the Pens than this."
I'd rather the Blackhawks win the lottery than have Tavares and Keefe in Pittsburgh.

You have offered us two rentals - one the fanbase is split on if we want and one we don't have any desire for at all - and a coach we want less than those players in exhange for our best defenseman, a 1st, and our top prospects at each position. No thanks.

Why do TOR fans thing the penguins will pay an arm and a leg for their cap dumps.

Marner says no anyway. He's not going to PIT and have his stats fall in a contract year. You are high as a kite if you think that.
He'll sit on the TOR PP and rack up points.

Marner is going to get traded I think. He's the one that should go. Willy is great, Matthews is top 3 player in the world. JT isn't going anywhere and really if he was making even 8 million right now, no one would be angry. He can't drive play anymore but he's still a good player.

Send Marner somewhere but not for old declining players or over priced depth guys.

Why would his stats fall off? He scored at a 90 point pace when he was with Kadri and Marleau in his 2nd season in the NHL.
Then finished with 90 points playing JT and Marleau again the next season.

He'd be running a power play with Crosby, Letang and Makin. Those aren't scrubs.

Crosby Letang, EK, Malkin, and Guentzel still combined for a bottom of the league power play, yet you think Marner is going to make a difference.

He won't be on Crosby's line. He'll be with Malkin, who passes way more than he shoots. Bunting who crashes the net to mop up..... a line with no shooters.... I'm sure that will score a ton of points.
He's not going to PIT. His points would drop.

yes clearly I'm making up how bad the penguins power play was.... with a better shooter like Guentzel instead of a passer with a 5th grader's shot like Marner.
I mean really, you are stuck with those two. Just accept it already.
