so in this scenario, Pettersson is worth SO much more than Tkachuk that not only does Vancouver also get Chychrun, who is worth over a first round pick, but Ottawa is also taking a cap dump in exchange.

I mean Pettersson is a superstar, borderline top 5 center in the whole league who’s great offensively and defensively. Tkachuk is a great but not elite 1st line winger who’s great offensively but bad defensively. Pettersson is worth quite a lot more (and that’s not a knock against Tkachuk)

Brady had 3 more goals than Pettersson sure. But Pettersson had 15 more points, is a center, and is significantly better defensively. And that was with him struggling to end the season. He also had over 100 points last year, which Brady has never been close to
