I’m not sure we want a move like this .

Maybe just a Chychrun - Coleman swap or something.

We aren’t paying asset to get rid of Korpi

Can Ottawa afford his cap hit though?

I mean it’s close to an even swap salary wise

I'd be pretty happy with such a swap for the Flames.

---

I don't know what appetite teams have to move high picks, but I like those trades for the Flames.

I think Buffalo would be willing to for the right price, they've already got the best prospect pool in the league.

Calgary isn't interested in trading for Chychrun unless he comes with an extension. They aren't interested in Graves either unless he comes with 20-25% retention. 11th OA + Ostlund probably isn't enough to get Andersson either. Andersson is a top pairing RD with 2 years left on a great contract, 11th OA is a nice start but yet another small left shot forward is one of the last things Calgary would be interested in.

All of Buffalo's prospects are small so if you're looking for size there's nothing to choose from. Chychrun would probably just end up being trade bait at the deadline. And why would we pay extra for retention when we don't need it?

Andersson wasn’t “great” this year
I’d say it’s more like a “maybe”

No he wasn't. I've heard he still may have had a lingering injury from his car accident last year.

With that in mind, your asking A LOT for him
I could still see the Sabres interested
But idk that we’d give that much up

Buffalo's prospects aren't just small, most of them are tiny but they do have a number of roster players with good size that Conroy would be interested in.
Coleman is worth more to Calgary than the return we'd get from flipping Chychrun as a rental.
We definitely wouldn't pay extra for retention on Graves. He's worth about a 3rd with retention. If we're going sink over 4 a mil a year for 5 years into a defenseman we might as well get someone better, younger or on a better contract (shorter or lower AAV) than Graves even if the Pens want to give him away.
