Heidt projects very strongly as a winger at the NHL level.

You could flip Hartman to 2C and move heidt down with Khus and Ohgren to make a “kids” line. Yurov would then take over 2C in 25-26.

If Heidt sticks I'd personally put him on the second line with Marchenko and Hartman, Foligno or Zuccarello to the third line with Ohgren and Khusnutdinov, the other one on the fourth

Otherwise yeah, this would be fun

I don’t mind that at all but I wouldn’t demote Zucc all the way to the 4th line. Foligno should be there regardless, his offensive game is damn near invisible. I love his physicality but he shouldn’t be taking a middle 6 spot from Ohgren, Zucc, Hartman, or Marchenko.

Yeah just depends on if you still wanted something of a shutdown third line with Ohgren, Khusnutdinov and Foligno all being competent defensive players with some form of grit.

Yeah I understand that. Really sucks that Guerin went handing out contracts with NMCs last year to guys who didn’t deserve them. It would be so much easier to make this team more fun if we weren’t hindered by guys like Jojo, Freddy, and Foligno. The only one I don’t mind is Hartman because he can actually contribute when he’s put in a good place within the lineup and has an edge to him that benefits us in the playoffs.

Marchenko has already made himself a fan favorite here, and we've already got two quality young middle-6 centers in Sillinger and Voronkov. So this would be a "thanks but no thanks".

I think that's equal value for the Rossi-Marchenko swap, but it is kind of moving deck chairs. I'd rather have Marchenko right now, who's been a fan favorite and a bright spot.
