Rob Blake is one wrong move away from losing his job and because Kuemper is too much of a risk I'd say the Kings turn this down. Great value and everything but if Kuemper played anything around what he did this past season Blake would be gone and its too risky for Blake to take that. For the record I'd take it lol

The overage is already built in, right next to cap hit above strome. Unrealistic like you said but would love these moves

I would love to see the Caps go after Kaliyev.

The only thing is I'm not ready for the caps to move on from McMichael. His growth from 22-23 to 23-24 makes me incredibly excited to see what his ceiling is. Marner is great but I wouldn't give up this package for him. I'd rather hold onto McMichael and use the salary cap space to get a UFA.

Yeah this just isn't close to what the Wild are looking for in a Rossi trade

I am not the biggest McM fan, but I think he is a solid 3c. That being said, I definitely see your point - just imo, I would be fine with using him to get a real solid top line guy (in this example, Marner). Obviously depends on how desperate the Leafs are (and if Marner waives), I just don't see how a package would work without one of McM or Lappy, as the Leafs are in need of young, cheap middle 6 guys. And regarding UFAs, I don't love really anyone outside of Reinhart (who will be too expensive) and Guenztel (who I highly doubt will sign with the Caps). But who knows

Yeah figured - I was totally unsure what the Wild would want for a return so started with 17oa and a pretty good prospect. What would a return look like for both?

It would look like a player of a similar age/upside to Rossi, with a different skillset, or a similar age with a higher upside that the Wild could add to get.

So far the only confirmation that we have that he's even available is that he was offered (+) for Cutter Gauthier. So it would be something like that.

I feel the exact opposite lol, I'd take that TOR deal every day of the week but am hesitant about the other two. I don't think you're giving up more than a second for Kaliyev straight-up so you're still ending up paying to move a retained Kuemper which I don't think is smart. MIN deal is a massive bet and I'm not sure Rossi is the guy I would make it on (and am 100% Gustafsson is not).
