Honestly, I like what I've seen from Klapka so far. He uses his body well to protect the puck, and he has pretty soft hands. He made some pretty good passes from what I saw. He's a gentle giant when it comes to fighting, so don't expect much. That said, he doesn't shy away from contact. His skating seemed average.

Defensive awareness remains a weakness. His line seemed to get caught in his own zone and struggle with breakouts.

So Klapka can turn into a pleasant surprise, but he also has a lot to work on.
