That and taking on one of the worst contracts in the NHL is super unpalatable. I'd do something more futures based + Necas for Drai but I wouldn't touch Nurse

NSH declines. Not going to even speak to value, it just looks like Trotz is going to resign Saros unless someone comes out and offers him an extreme overpayment that he can't deny, and this isn't really that.

1. Canes aren’t moving Slavin
2. Nobody is touching that Nurse contract with a 20 foot pole
3. Canes pass. As good as Draisaitl is, if the price is giving up Slavin and having to take on Nurse, it simply isn’t worth it.

yeah probably. But for one the best playoffs performer in history...you never know. Canes need someone who performs in playoffs.

Nurse is not bad, he is just way overpaid. He can be very good top3 D in the team (Ceci is dragging him down).
