Not bad, I would say that Duchene trade would have to have a 1st though, or Dermott switched out with Marincin. LoVerde isn't going anywhere (not that he's highly sought after, sign & trades typically never happen), but if JVR made an agreement to CAR that he will extend with them, than that trade has legs.

Yeah right after posting I was hesitant about the picks in the Duchene trade. I don't see the Leafs letting go of Dermott so giving up a 1st would be the only way on that. As for LoVerde, I just don't see a JVR/Faulk trade happening one for one. I think giving up Stempniak makes sense for Carolina to open a spot for JVR and then the Leafs throwing in a prospect or two (one of which has to be defense) would sweeten the deal.

Yeah what part of Sakic seeking an established top 4 LD isn't being understood. You're not getting Duchene for this.

This is horrible neither trade happens.

Why would the Leafs make that deal for Duschene? Pro rated Duchene in the past three years has scored 4 more points a year more than Bozak. Heck Bozak easily outscored Duchene last year. So you could easily argue that Duchene would contribute little to help the Leafs. Seem like so many folks have taken in by the Sakic Kool Aid. 30 NHL GMs haven't been, Duchene is still on the last place Avs.
But geez, that trade with the Canes. An NHL good NHL Dman for just one year of JVR. Nice you included an AHL Dman.

A deal around JVR for the last time isn't getting you Justin Faulk it would cost far more then just JVR and you wont like what Carolina would be seeking for him scraps wont cut it.
