No way do i see Sakic taking Holden for LD help if you want Duchene, Pretty sure Sakic will want Brady Skjei and it will end right there. Edit Holden plays RD it will end right there Sakic is set at RD he wants LD help for Duchene.

The players may not be of much consequence, you never know, but those four picks look nice for Avs. Avs do the deal. Oilers will be having cap issues soon, four years of Staal isn't that palatable.

I think ur giving up too much value for duchene. I know he's good but I mean he's not even a top 15 center in the league imo. Just not worth Sakics asking price

I want Duchene as much as the next guy but this is WAY too much. Get rid of one of the 1st round picks and it's something I'd consider. However, Avs aren't trading for Holden especially after they traded him to the Rangers before last season for a 4th round pick.

throwing a bunch of draft picks isnt (1) realistic bc no team is doing that and (2) not ultimately not meeting Sakics demands, quantity of draft picks doesn't make up for the quality of prospects/players being thrown out there

why would the Avs want Holden back when they were doing cartwheels to get rid of him in the first place.

Avs want a LHD under 25, or an NHL ready D prospect....what is added to that if anything all depends on the level of D prospect being offered
