Is Nylander that much better than Hanifin that Toronto should receive a 1st rd. pick for a 2nd?
Maybe even up or the other way around?

As a leaf fan I have no interest in that deal. If for some reason the leafs did move Nylander I would be wanting a better D man than Hanifin

You're not going to get a better d-man than Hanifin without giving up a bigger package.

Thats not true. You're undervaluing Nylander. As a 20 year old he put up 61 points. Elite shot, elite skating, elite vision and potential to pay centre. And he is going to get better over the next couple of years. I get that Hanafin is a D and they take loger to develop, but he has a mediocre season last year and his value dropped. I think the issue is that there really isn't an ideal target for the Leafs' need at RHD. The right move is to wait and see, not trade a budding superstar
