I don't know that prospect so he's probably a long shot. Holden is a salary dump so you may need to trade a 2nd just to move him. So no. Bozak would net a first at least. I'd take your second 1st Chytil. Think about it this way. Bozak is a step below Stepan in talent but is and will be much cheaper. NYR just got the 7th overall pick for him and a ok Goalie.

How do you figure this works for the Rags? As you have it they only have 21 players on the 23 man roster and 500K in cap space...never take anyone who claims to be and isles and rags fan seriously

Since the Leafs need Bozak to play centre for them, I can't see anything in the trade that helps the Leafs now. Want an exchange of centres? Leafs wants Hayes.

So agree with this... The only things TO would want are Kreider, Miller, Hayes, Zib, and Skjei and I can't see the Rangers trading any of those for Bozak so the trade talk probably stops there

Holden is a salary dump at 1.65m? Its the very opposite ... the NYR have several NHL defensemen with Holden being expendable and very affordable for cap-tight teams. While I agree that this deal is not enough for Bozak it isn't too far off. The prospect should be stronger but I can't see Bozak bringing back both prospects and a 1st rd. He's 31 yrs old ... a rental ... and just happened to have his career year when he's no longer needed to be the top player on the team playing against 1st line D-pairings. Kevin Hayes frustrates the hell out of me but he put up 49 pts last year. That ties Bozaks second highest career total and Hayes is 6 years younger ... so lets be real about Bozaks value.
