I'm not undervaluing players.....It's you in this scenario that has completely undervalued Boedker, Murphy and Rieder. My credibility? I might often say dumb shit, but since you can't hear me, how would you know?
But I can comment on your rosters..
I'm not undervaluing Boedker. He is very good, but he isn't Ovechkin. Don't kid yourself. I'm not saying Perron is better than Boedker because he isn't. I'm not saying Bennett is better than Reider because he isn't, but u are truly clueless if u honestly think that Murphy is better than Pouliot. Pouliot is a very good prospect defensemen and he will thrive in the NHL if he ever gets a fucking chance. He struggled in the preseason and he hasn't gotten much playing time prior to that and that's likely why you are calling him an NHL/AHLer. Murphy is not more valuable than Pouliot. Honestly think Pouliot is better. Pouliot hasn't been given an opportunity because Johnston is a clueless assclown who doesn't know how to coach this team. He prefers to play those shitty defensemen in Scuds and Loveboy. Hopefully soon he will be given a chance.
I'm not sure in what vain palhal was saying Pouliot is an NHL/AHLer but he's technically not wrong or putting him down depending on how its said if you think about it. Regarding the Pouliot/Murphy debate, I've watched them both and they seem to be quality players/prospects although Murphy is farther along then Pouliot and is way more NHL ready. Skill/talent wise? Pouliot takes it hands down for sure. Overall defense-wise, Murphy is light years ahead of Pouliot. I'm not sure where this over confidence that "Pouliot is way better" is coming from? Maybe a little Pens-bias?
Ultimately, its way too early to tell. They may both end up being 5-6th d-men.....
As for the rest of the deal, palhal is pretty spot on. Boedker is an RFA which right there gives the team way more leverage compared to the UFA Perron who just based off of this season, has lost a lot of value. Forget being able to get what you paid for him from Edm last year, this year at the deadline. He won't get you a 1st rounder and a prospect anymore, his value has dropped enough that teams should be pretty desperate to pony up high picks for a guy who can't get his act together on a good team and is a UFA at the end of the year to boot. Rieder vs Bennett is a toss up. Bennett is the higher rated prospect but he's also been given way more opportunity to succeed and hasn't lived up to the hype or got injured. Rieder although the lesser known player, has steadily improved every year and hasn't played with even close to the calibre players Beau has. But let's not kid ourselves he probably has a shorter ceiling compared to Bennett.
On paper, the trade looks even enough. In reality, I wouldn't do it if I were Arizona.
Also, if you don't want people commenting on your roster, maybe I don't know.....don't publish it. If you do, don't be surprised if people tell your their opinions whether their absolutely crazy or not.
