Player wise, id probably take it. But Zajac and his contract is a concern tbh.. I value Johnson higher at his contract to the Colorado Avalanche than Zajac to the New Jersey Devils.

If you added in the 2018 1st, I can add in a really good prospect + a 2018 3rd that might close the gap.

Really there is no other option for a cap dump. You don't want Zajac and you don't want to retain any of EJ's cap hit. Right now I am just trying to figure out if I can absorb his contract somehow, but I don't think it is going to work.

Zajac's contract is just worrisome for me. I dont want to make a deal and have to be stuck with him. I can maybe retain on EJ a bit but that decision would have to come later in like January to see where my team is at that point.
