I can understand that. I was thinking you were guying to buy him out and have a 1.9M cap hit for 4 years. By that logic it'd be like wether you'd prefer to sign the type of guy available at 1.9M in UFA or have a 3rd round prospect. I was thinking the prospect could amount to more, but if you need to take care of your own players, especially JT, then I'd have to dump Beleskey to someone else for a 3rd before we can make a deal.

I just see my team as being a little to heavy as is. Just looking for a player of equal value, but more on the skill side of the spectrum.

Do you have interest in Spooner for him? What you're describing is basically Ryan Spooner. Smallish skilled player with a lot of offensive talent who plays outside the hashmarks and mostly sets up other players.

Another idea would be Riley Nash + Ryan Spooner + for Rick Nash @50% + Charlie Coyle. The + after Spooner would probably be a "B" prospect to make up the difference between Rick and Riley.

I have the cap space to do Spooner for Nash now, but I'd want something else with Nash. I do hate to do that to you, but Spooner is way more productive and has really excelled with his new team. The 33 to 26 age difference is haunting to me even though I know that Krejci runs our 2nd line and fits better with a Power Forward like Nash. I'm a big believer in Spooner so I don't think having him instead of Nash would keep the Bruins from winning.

Countering your offer of Nash + Khudobin for Spooner + Subban....

I need more than that from you because I get much, much older and not much better.

I'd offer Spooner + Subban + O'Gara for Nash + Khudobin + Edmundson. I'm aware Edmundson is more valuable than O'Gara, but I'd rather keep Spooner and Subban over Nash and Khudobin if theres nothing in it for me.
