MTL perspective on a BUF trade below + an extra spice

Created by: MTLaveragefan
Team: 2017-18 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 13, 2017
Published: Oct. 13, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The PIT trade: you get your third line Center (a real third line center) and Pacioretty !!!! so you gain a center and a 30 goal winger back for your winger.

The habs will be building around a core of good players signed longterm to good deals. With 10M in cap, the after season would be a great time to surround them with good UFA.

I saw for years how disinterested Kessel played when he was on a losing team. IMO he plays his best as Pen with Crosby and Malkin and other champs pushing him. My thought his play would decline seriously outside of Pittsburg, and he does have restricted NMC, NTC.

Giving up to much for O'Reilly and I wouldn't build my team around him. Only way to get an actual number one C is to draft him... if someone is trading one, there probably some warts behind the scene (ei. Galchenyuk).

Also, why give up on him... Galchenyuk should center Drouin... remember when get got 30 goals as a center???

Rather Pacioretty than Kessel. Otherwise this is good.

Habs management can't afford to go down to the bottom because of how Canadians fans would boycott the **** of the team. Chucky, saddly can't play for **** at center... his FOP is crap, defensively he is lost on the ice. He is a great hockey player... just doesn't have the hockey IQ i guess.

I would prefer Kessel due to the fact that he is a fast player with a lot more grind than Pacioretty... Patch doesn't do **** on the ice unless it's waiting for a perfect pass. no perfect pass, no goal. He doesn't create chances... he waits for someone else to make his chances for him.

My comment was about Kessel. I saw his disinterested play when he wasn't on a top contender with superstars. Hence my thought, no team should trade for Kessel.

I probably won't stop commenting about the Habs. Especially to you. I asked you reply to me about one of you bitter nonsensical remarks. But since you were too lazy to reply and just want to continue rah rah for the Habs posts, good for you. Sorry I didn't see your note sooner.
