At what point is Buffalo going to finally put it together? God damn its been a long time with a lot of good players and they haven't been able to do jack yet. I know ppl laugh at MTL with Price and all but he has single handedly made the Habs make the playoffs on numerous occasions. With far worse talent ahead of him then Buffalo has. (Which is why many people need to be reminded how good Price still is)

I mean all I hear is Risto is a top pairing guy, McCabe is a top 4 D, Eichel is a god. O'Reilly is a top center, Reinhart is a future stud, Lehner is a solid starter. Kane is a top winger, Fasching/Baptiste/Bailey are future top 6, Well clearly someone isn't pulling their weight then because with that much talent they should be at least a bubble team....

Maybe its time for some of those studs in Buffalo to carry their team just like other teams star players do. As condescending as it sounds and It's not my intention but I'm tired of Montreal always making the playoffs when they clearly lack a ton of talent while young stud laden teams continue to fall short. It doesn't make sense.

Jack wants to win? So do the 25 players on the 30 other teams. I can't blame Jack for signing that big contract. Few people could turn down all that guaranteed money. But Jack must know in his heart the Sabres are going to fall short of Cup contention and probably even making the playoffs for years. The talent isn't there. The prospects, except for a few are not "difference makers". And there some bad contracts that will take a few years to be flushed out.
Tavares has been in the same situation on the Isle. Mediocrity at best for years, and likely to continue for years.
Hey, I might be wrong about the Sabres and their future, but it's what I see in October 2017.
