Skjei means too much to NYR right now... McDonagh is going to be gone by the end of 2018-19 season and he will be our number one D. Can't trade him for a third liner in Gallagher and a low third round pick.

no way.. skjei is the future of the rangers defense. gallagher is a bottom six player and that pick is absolute trash for a player of skjei's caliber

I agree that Skjei isn't getting moved, and even if he was this trade wouldn't be enough.

but come on now... Gallagher is not a bottom 6 guy. If I had to give him a definitive spot, it would be as a 2nd line RW. and that would be on almost any team, of course there are exceptions. And at the moment I highly doubt MTL have any interest in moving Gally, he's literally the only RW that's producing offense on a offensively deprived team.

Skjei is one of the most untouchable Rangers, so you'll have to do a lot better than that.
