First 15 picks of 2021 Entry Draft

I think you're sleeping on Eklund and Edvinsson a good bit, both have solid top 5 (even top 3) potential. Also, I love his game but I've heard rumors of attitude issues with Lysell which may result in a case similar to that of Noel Gunler.

I think they're great picks but Beniers has the NA player bias that I think most NHL teams would prefer over an international player. Edvinsson is also scouted as a phenomenal player but I can't see NJ passing on a brother duo (most writers for them seem to believe that as well) and I think Columbus elects for the RHD with Werenski here for the long run. Clarke has also garnered some heavy attention of late from some models suggesting he's the best offensive defenseman in the draft.

Long story short - I'm not so much sleeping on them as believing other teams have a specific rationale in mind.

Edit: as for Lysell - I think that rumour came from him wanting to be traded which could mean alot. My first wish is for Sillinger as a flames fan!

Ottawa isn't taking a goalie. They don't have a top star goalie prospect, but they probably have the deepest pipeline of good goalie prospects. Gustavsson had an excellent season across three leagues this year, Merilainen was absolutely dominant in the Finnish u20 league, Søgaard had a very strong season playing pro hockey in Europe and was a beast when he came to Belleville late in the season, then you have Daccord who could push Forsberg for backup time next year and Mandolese who is probably an AHL guy, but isn't bad as your 5th goalie prospect.

How do you know that the Blackhawks want Coronato?

I just think if it comes down to Wallstedt or any of the forward prospects they go for the highly sought after goalie.
