Toronto Maple Leafs signed Simon Benoit (3 Years / $1,350,000 AAV)
Great signing IMO. He's a guy that works hard, and helps out big-time on the defensive side of things.
1.35x3 seems like Brad's favourite contract number.

NHL award predictions

Daccord has 46 starts, a 2.42 GAA, and a .917 sv%. He's got 3 shutouts which isn't exactly insane, but the rest of the stats are for a guy on a team that's missing playoffs.

And Reinhart for Selke is a surprise</div></div>
Oops...kinda just looked in the overall points category when I was doing that.
Reinhart's getting nearly 3 minutes a game on the PK, blocks a decent amount of shots and has 50. He isn't the best defensive forward, but of the best one's putting up the crazy offensive numbers. Selke isn't what it should be. If it was actually about the best two way forwards, the ballot would definitely include guys like Sissons and Garland.

Most underrated players IMO
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SharkTank</b></div><div>If JT Miller is so underrated then why is he making 8 mil AAV?
Wouldn't 4-5 mil AAV make him underrated?</div></div>
That contract gets hated on so much, but he has exceeded its value IMO. This list is for underrated players, not underpaid. I feel he deserves to be in at least to the top 10 centres in the league, but not a lot of people seem to appreciate just how good he is.

Marner
I feel like both sides decline. Sissons and Saros hold too much value to us and Leafs wouldn’t give up Marner. I’d be down giving him an 12 mil x 7 yrs contract if he hits FA.

Don't forget about Brady Skjei, feel like he might be one of the most underrated players in the entire NHL.

These are awful for the Canes. Burns has been pretty great for them, and Jarvis is already just as good as Schmaltz. Kotkaniemi isn’t a cap dump, just so many things wrong.

Honestly, next year for Saros, you’re looking at Daws/Schmid, Holtz/Seamus and a conditional 1st-2nd round pick (depending on who you choose to give up) at max IMO.

Feel it’s gotta go to either Quinn Hughes or Nathan MacKinnon, they’ve been dominating for the whole season, McDavid only began doing McDavid things later on.

Carrier is gonna get more money and term.
Stastney likely plays over Del Gaizo, he’s been really good on the defensive side of things. Lankinen likely doesn’t get resigned and Askorov fills his spot, and I think L’Heureux would come up from the minors in place of Zucker.

You guys are getting Raty back and Podz who worked out well for us under previous coaches. Mikheyev did well under Keefe so why not give him another shot now that you could get him with retention?

Looks pretty solid but I’d trade Lauzon and have Stastney on the 3rd pair. He’s solid defensively and I think he’s earned his spot.

Don't know that we need Kane - I think addition by subtraction and internal adds will be the way to go with forwards this off-season (Pacioretty gone opens up a spot for a guy like Leonard). I think the defense needs to be majorly overhauled - move out Jensen, TVR, and let Bear be the 7D next season unless he has an awesome training camp. Alexyev probably deserves a shot elsewhere. Keep Fehervary and Sandin on the left, add another lefty in UFA maybe, someone who will clear out the net front. Add another righty and let Iorio come up and play full time minutes. Carlson won't get moved, so despite his flaws, we're stuck with him.</div></div>
Yeah Kane was signed because an Ovi-Strome-Kane line would be AWESOME but I think you make a good point with giving younger players a shot.

Nashville Predators signed Dante Fabbro (1 Year / $2,500,000 AAV)
Love Fabbro and what he brings to this team. I would've wanted him to be signed for longer and I don't like how this walks him to FA,(maybe it's what he wants with all these healthy scratches in favour of Barrie). But I envisioned a good deal for him to be in the 3.5-4 mil range for 4-7 years.

This is an absolute STEAL for Vegas.
Sharks get a meh return but now have all their retention spots used up for this year and next(Hertl filling one up for 6 FREAKING years).
This Knights team is stacked.
To every fan who hated on my Hertl to Nashville trade(where the Sharks retained 1.7 mil for 6 years): Who's laughing now?
