Seattle’s inability to come away from the expansion draft with anything of value on the ice or in draft capital is astonishing.

No. I really don’t get the ghost hate. He was one of our more impactful defenders this year. He falls out of favor with the coaches for whatever reason.

Can someone help me here? I have seen this list unfold throughout the day, but I thought they had to take 20 players under contract. As the rumors sit, isn't this only 19?

Ottawa shopping Tierney and Dadonov
Dadonov is not an appealing target at all. I'd be more interested in Tierney than Dadonov. Overall, it makes little sense - at least you can count on Jake to produce if he is a bit overpaid.

Holtby is very expensive and has not been good in a few years. There has to be more affordable options for the Flyers. Given their cap situation, hard pass.

When you say revert, do you mean 40pts in 66 games during the shortened season or the 27 goals/ 48 points he scored in 66 games during his fist season back with Flyers when he broke a bone blocking a shot in game 1?
I get that JVR is overpaid, but is it a million? The narrative that he is not a valuable NHL winger is lazy and tired.

43 pts this year in 56 games, Positive play-driving and expected goals metrics, decent two-way game... for a pure cap dump and meh picks. Please do us all a favor and keep Lucic.

Same with the Flyers. We are absolutely loaded on LD and Patrick is definitely an NHL player where the jury is out on Juolevi still.

Don't point out home town biases so logically. Reinhart and TK+ for Jones...
I wish we would all stop pretending Jones has been an elite defender in any season since 2017-18. And by the way, Columbus is selling low on an asset that had a **** season and told the club very publicly he was not resigning. Where is all of this leverage coming in that demands huge return?

Stealing tampas 3rd line
There’s a bunch to unpack here, but the Marner trade sticks out as way off value.
I can’t imagine that the leafs could get a 1RW that plays a exceedingly rare power forward game, 3 roster players, and 2 1st for a very expensive playmaker at wing.
As a fan of neither team, Wilson + 1 of those assets seems fair and that is still a tough sell due to the type of game and salary difference.

He isn’t worthless or a cap dump. He’s a good top 4 d man who is worth minimum a 3rd. Juolevi is kind of a bust which is unfortunate.</div></div>
There is an enormous gap between a player worth a 3rd round pick and Konecny. I would take a chance on Schmidt, but certainly not at that price.

Sell me on it. I see a younger, more affordable defenseman with better counting stats and advance stats going to Tampa for a 32 year old, 7 million dollar d-man that is signed for 5 more seasons. That's the kind of contract you have to pay to shed from your cap.
I am missing what could possibly compel the Flyers to make that trade.

Habs offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>hes healthy, Flyers just sucked this year (no offense to them). During his rookie and the year after he looked good. Then concussions happened and he missed a year. Could see him being a bounce back candidate on a new team
I would say the Lias Andersson trade would probs be the value</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_Habs_fan</b></div><div>Well considering he was a former 2nd overall pick and has potential I’m thinking around what Lias Andersson got</div></div>
The main difference is that Patrick has two 30pt seasons to his name and while he struggled last year, he is about to have his first ‘normal’ offseason since he was 17. Anderson was not able to crack the lineup in his three seasons in NYC (9pts in ~60 games).
Our team was not good this year, Patrick was not good this year and the condensed schedule did him no favors. See Oskar Lindblom as another example. I’d expect both players to be significantly better next season.
