Patrick will cost more than a 4th but this is a pretty good AGM

hes healthy, Flyers just sucked this year (no offense to them). During his rookie and the year after he looked good. Then concussions happened and he missed a year. Could see him being a bounce back candidate on a new team

I would say the Lias Andersson trade would probs be the value

Well considering he was a former 2nd overall pick and has potential I’m thinking around what Lias Andersson got

Let's assume those two 2nds would get you Dunn (even if they most likely wouldn't). Where's the payment for eating Byron's 2x3.4?

I like the team, but I just don't think there's enough money to go around.

First, you need to bump Lehkhonen up a bit, his QO is 2.2m.

I also don't see St. Louis taking Byron. If you replace him with Brook in that deal, they'd probably take it. If we assume Byron gets moved in another deal for a draft pick, and Kulak walks at the end of the season, that leaves you around $5m to sign Suzuki, Patrick, Evans and Romanov.

Have to sacrifice a bit to free up at least a couple million more in cap space and then it might be a gamble on signing Caufield the next year. Also worth keeping in mind that the Habs have 4 NCAA prospects that could potentially sign at the end of their season and they may want the cap space to give at least one of them some NHL time.

Wonder if we can convince Price to go on LTIR until the playoffs...

The main difference is that Patrick has two 30pt seasons to his name and while he struggled last year, he is about to have his first ‘normal’ offseason since he was 17. Anderson was not able to crack the lineup in his three seasons in NYC (9pts in ~60 games).

Our team was not good this year, Patrick was not good this year and the condensed schedule did him no favors. See Oskar Lindblom as another example. I’d expect both players to be significantly better next season.

Garland would be perfect. Patrick would cost more and I dont see the need tbh. Instead of Dunn, Id rather go after a young RHD (Philip Myers perhaps?). I would also try to sign KK longterm at around 5 millions per season. That would probably turn out to be a bargain

Garland would be nice but I can't see Montreal landing him, and Patrick would cost more than a 4th, probably a 2nd, I'm not quite sure what his value is.

Since you tagged me for my opinion :

I'm not fond of Garland, he's a small RW and the biggest need is a big LW. With Toffoli already playing reverse, I just dont see it.

Lehkonen's qualifying offer is 2.2M, cant see him accepting less.

No need (4th line?) or interest in Patrick (Concussed too many times)

Dunn would fill the need for a puck moving LHD, but I have no clue what is his worth. If Arvidson is only worth a 2nd +3rd...
