We are keeping Fiala
Nylander is a perfect comp. I'd be really happy if we got Fiala at $7M AAV on a long term deal

I think you are right Detroit is pretty set with RHDs. Plus with they way Söderblom is progressing and there aren't many players that are 6'6" that can stickhandle and skate like he does.

With all due respect, Minnesota would just keep fiala. Connor brown is a free agent in 1 year like fiala

Minnesota can qualify him and keep him for 1 year instead of taking on lesser value player in connor brown. Connor brown needs to get paid also like Fiala in 1year. Minnesota has ability to afford Fiala for 1year .

(CHI/MIN) - Fleury for conditional 2022 2nd round pick
Reigning Vezina winner traded for nothing after his winning season, gets worse and then gets traded for a 2nd (possibly 1st) at the deadline. Vegas mishandled this so badly lmao
Minnesota has a chance to cement Fleury's HOF case here, hopefully he can make a run and get Minny to the finals

Wow that's some rough news!
Where can we find the goalies that put up a 0.926 SV% <strong>every single night</strong>?

If there is a possibility to acquire Kerfoot alone, I would be considering that. But, for sure, we do not have a room for Holl and plenty of good wingers.</div></div>
I don't like the trade either. Nylander is the best player in it and I am not sure if Dumba really helps us. He's not really the type of defenceman I think they need. It's just not a great fit here

If Kadri cashes in like Duchene and Johansen did by signing him for $8 million they'll regret it by season 2 of the contract.

Rather keep Talbot and our 2nd round pick over one whose struggles this year and playoff struggles for years. It's Why Vegas got rid of him</div></div>
$7M cap hit and a $5M commitment to Lehner is why Vegas needed to trade him away. Nothing to do with his <strong>.920 SV% in the playoffs</strong> with Vegas...

There wouldn't be much of a difference in prices, no matter where he'd sign or play. No matter where he signs it'll be as a ELC. That's not going to jump up what he's going to be paid by much if at all.
The only difference is going wherever he thinks he has the best chance to play. Depending on how he looks at the Olympics, will most likely determine that.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Aero_Astro_Guy</b></div><div>If McBain does not sign, he walks as a FA. Thus, there is no price for him.</div></div>
But by all accounts it sounds as if he'll sign.
Per Pronman;
"Jack McBain, C, Canada (Minnesota): McBain is a big forward with some skill who is highly competitive and great around the net, but his skating has never been his strong point. McBain is a senior at Boston College, where he’s having an excellent season. <strong>While sources I’ve talked to believe he will sign with Minnesota once this season is up</strong>, teams have been watching his situation closely this season to see if they have a chance of signing him as a free agent. A strong Olympics for McBain could stir his situation even more."

I don't know who Shaw is, so I can't offer an intelligent opinion. In general, I like to stick with the known quantity whenever possible. I've found that in hockey and in life, you make more mistakes doing things than not doing them.

I can't see the Kings doing this deal, unless Blake is just looking to do Lizotte a favor and move him.
Shaw is probably a NHL/AHL tweener. Works hard grinds hard gets hurt a lot. Nice little player but nothing special.

Lizotte is playing some strong hockey for the Kings. I don't see him moving unless someone else looks better with Lemieux. That 4th line infuriates teams.

Copp for Playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Aero_Astro_Guy</b></div><div>An untouchable prospect who is not getting moved.
drmantalban we really need size. Our prospect pool, i d say, is relatively small and McBain stands out in a crowd. Also, he is one of the best NCAA centers and I would not be happy to lose such an asset at this point.
I would trade Khovanov instead. But I doubt Peg accepts, as well as I doubt whether we need Copp.</div></div>
I wouldn’t say he’s untouchable. The guy is 22, so it’s expected that he puts up numbers. But his size is nice and he does throw it around. I’ve caught a few BC games and he trucks ppl.
As for needing Copp, I ultimately agree. I just felt like doing something a bit different. He’s not a guy I see included in proposals very much, but I really like his game.
