Could we be able to get all of these pieces
I think you'd have to be creative, maybe fix two issues, like giroux and RD Braun both half retained for a 1st, 2nd and a good/top prospect (better than Leason, Iorio?) and then throw in a cap dump like Kempny, Samsonov or Schultz. (If schultz is cap dump, acquiring both those guys aonly eats 1mil in cap).
I would expect price of Giroux and Pavelski to be similar (solid prospect and a 1st), with Giroux probably fetching a bit more (a solid prospect, a 1st and a 2nd), adding braun costs a better prospect, but they also take the cap dump

That's fair. But it's still difficult to find centers in this league, and Minnesota definitely needs some. Plus there are Seattle expansion reasons that explain why Dumba could be on the move.

Why would Detroit do that Edmonton trade, it’s pretty lopsided in their favor. I don’t see Washington moving their goalie and SJ probably doesn’t touch that.

Lol Washington blocks Detroit’s number with that trade. But as a pens fan I hope they are dumb enough to make it. Even if Ryan wasn’t out for the season with an upper body injury it is still real bad lol

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Forsberg21</b></div><div>Thats too much for Glendening</div></div>
True. But they could use a faceoff specialist, and history shows that's waaay too much for Ryan O'Reilly, so Glendening might be more realistic.

Yeah, as others have said, too much for Glendenning. I doubt the caps go out and add another defenseman, but Del Zotto is a nice low cost option if they decide to add one.
Connolly Panik would be a nice swap and could be high reward, but I think the caps would look for a player that has a little more impact potential. I’m thinking Iafallo or Rakell are legitimate options.

I like Connolly a lot more than Panik, so no thanks. Obviously I'm not running things, but that's a guy I'd invest a lot of resources into fixing if I was Chicago. Think he could be a legit piece for us long term

Playing 19 minutes a game for first place team, for just 795,000. Seems like one of the great value players this season.

After seeing what Orpik brought to WSH in his late 30s, I was hoping that a 43 year old Chara could help out on the penalty kill and be a good mentor for Siegenthaler and Fehervary. Instead, Chara's on a 23 point pace. Orpik got that many points once, when he was in his 20s. Chara's been amazing.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>brady_t12</b></div><div>He had maybe two games where he looked less than solid. Halfway through the season for a 43 year old, that’s insane. He’s been amazing for us and plays great with Jensen. Love that pair.</div></div>
The impact that Chara has had on Jensen's game is amazing. Jensen has looked great recently. As far as Chara's play is concerned, I think he's exceeding expectations. I think the Caps were looking at him as more of a rotational piece, and he's been a regular in the lineup so far.

Not sure why NSH retains here when WSH doesn't need it in the first place. And if they only have 3 players they can retain on at any given time, I doubt they'd waste it on this deal. The retention just seems unnecessary.

Wings are going to pass, we want to keep djoos and we aren't retaining on small contracts when we have bigger ones to retain on. Panik is a cap dump so really it's not that helpful to the wings. We could get a 3rd for LGD no retention and keep djoos and be better off then this package

Thanks. Unfortunately, I think this was the most realistic way to do that. :)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>Even if Kuznetsov magically becomes the top six center who's production doesn't tank in NSH, the Preds don't have the cap space to accommodate his contract. They need to move a center this off-season, not bring in another one with term and a high salary. Fabbro is an important part of their future, so including him is a non-starter. The prospect pool is shallow, so they'd be hesitant to give up picks unless they're getting something back that they really want. Boyd doesn't have any value to NSH.</div></div>
Duchene cost columbus ...2019 first-round pick, prospects Vitaly Abramov and Jonathan Davidsson, and a conditional first-rounder if Duchene resigns with Columbus. Kuzy is way better his price tag will also be higher

That's fine. Trade him to a team that would be interested in him, and can accommodate his cap hit, for pieces they are willing to give up. This proposal lacks all three of those elements.

lmfao price 2c? Kuzy would be a 1c in nashville. Kuzy is way way better than Duchene and Johansen and hes cheaper..... He's on a really solid deal f or a 70-80 point center.
Nashville takes this deal so fast they would exceeded the speed of sound
