That’s not enough for the 2nd. Perhaps OTT could add a 1st, since Karlsson is basically a cap dump.

Like these moves. Nothing too drastic, and there is no need for any drastic moves.

Playoff Roster no Sprong
I think Aston-Reese is best fit along side of Brassard and Kessel. Brassard and Kessel’s biggest weakness is board play. Aston-Reese's biggest strength is board play. It’s a perfect fit in my mind. Aston-Reese can crash the net, play along the boards, and create space for Brassard and Kessel to their thing.
A simple solution after moving Aston-Reese to the third line is to put Simon back with on Crosby’s RW. That shouldn’t be the solution. Hornqvist should be play on Crosby’s RW, along side of Guentzel. That line has worked all times that they’ve been put together.
Hagelin-Malkin-Rust has been great, no complaints from me.
After Simon loses his spot in my scenario, he should become Sheahan and Sheary’s LW to completed a skilled fourth line.
Sheahan/Hagelin and Brassard/Rust should be the penalty killers with Crosby/Guentzel being insureance.
Great D pairs, I’d do the same.

Trading Hunwick and trading for Pacioretty and Cullen
I think its time to give up on Dad, he is playing more with Minny, some 3rd line center, and Minny is in playoffs now.
Patches hasnt looked the part as of late, not sure if he is a fit.
I do like the Bart deal tho

You either spelled Desharnais' name wrong or forgot to add a 2nd in that NYR trade.

The cap is prorated though (this app doesn't account for that). To figure out how much cap these trades add, you fill out the following equation. (Salary cap number x days remaining in the season/ total season days) There are 53 days remaining in the season and the season lasts 185 days (this is also assuming rutherford makes those trades today). So... 4,000,000 x 53 / 185 = 1145945.95 The cpu automatically adds their whole salary as if they were on the team for the whole year, but it should add the salary remaining instead. The difference in those two figures is 2854055 which happens to be more than what that supposed overage would be, so they actually have the space.

2018 TDL
I'd take the pick over Cole. Cole isn't going to resign in pittsburgh. He is playing better than Hunwick but Hunwick seems to have Sullivan's favor. Get something for him rather than nothing.

Just trade Scuderiiiii
Yup every team has a player they just can't get rid of if they tried. Scudz is one of them. Might as well just keep him this year and buy him out next year. At least he gives a bit of depth on the blueline especially with Maatta and Letang being injury prone.
