It woud be pretty comical, and Vegas has done crazier things...
I think the likelihood is probably low, and I certainly wouldn't put too much stock in the Elvenes end of things, but it would certainly be another notable move for them. What a friggin' lineup that'd be when healthy :tearsofjoy

Down the road
Colorado has neither the cap off desire for Muzzin. And Muzzin isn't waiving unless it to a true contender. A severe overpay for Crouse......He's a third line winger. The fact that you gave him a pay decrease shows what you think of him.

Meaningful changes for all
so you admit the leafs are giving up the better defenceman, and then throw in a 1st and a decent prospect for an AHL player and a guy who is having an awful season and has a stupid high qualifying offer next season?
these are really really bad for the leafs

Isnt this the dude who used to own George Costanza's car?
Jokes aside, Voit has been absolutely killing it with Sarnia. High energy and a good playmaker. 5th round steal and glad to have him under contract

I know the 2021 draft was an absolute crapshoot ... but ...
Most pre-draft rankings had Voit as a mid 2nd rounder.
And he's certainly performing like one this season.
Toronto has a surprisingly good prospect pool.

For sure! I just find it super interesting in the Ducks case, Artem Galimov (2020) was the only Russian that I can remember the team drafting since Igor Bobkov in 2009. Prior to that, it was Stanislav Chistov in 2001, which was a Pierre Gauthier pick. It's wild to me to think that you'd burn mid-late round picks on USNDTP/US Highschool players with "meh" ceilings, when you've got the opportunity for a boom/bust pick from elsewhere. Maybe every one of those guys was the scouting staff's consensus pick, but it's crazy (to me) that that'd be the case.

The fact that this is where I'm focusing means this is a good proposal

Agreed. I could see it as a 3rd, or some sort of conditional pick, but the basis around it isn't a bad idea.
Something interesting though-The only 2 Russians to play for the Hawks in the since 17/18 are Anisimov (USSR, traded away in 19), and Zadorov (played 2020 only). I wonder if it's just coincidence, or preference when it comes to roster building? I only looked because in Anaheim, Bob Murray has been notorious for avoiding Russian players.

Ritchie shouldn't be on a checking line. He's a better finisher than Engvall (who's better defensively than Ritchie), so might as well swap them.

Ducks Trade Targets
Liljegren is already an elite AHLer at 22 so
How is part of his potential "a solid AHLer"
I don't get the impression that people watch him a lot because his defensive play is arguably his best quality, he's so dynamic, so not really high risk in that sense
At worst at NHL level he'd be like idk hm...
A marcus Pettersson type asset but more mobile
